Deepening Faith
We are committed to actively deepening our faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit through:
Weekly Bible Study
Tuesdays @ 8pm in the LCM House. Led each week by students and/or Pastor Jana. We explore contemporary issues for students through the lens of scripture. This year, we are using the Book of Faith initiative to help us become more fluent in the language of Scripture.
Weekly Worship
Sundays @ 8:45 and 11am and Tuesdays @ 9:30pm in the Mt. Carmel Sanctuary. The 8:45am worship service is more traditional with organ, choir, and the hymnal. The 11am worship service is more contemporary, with praise band and PowerPoint slides with words to the songs. Tuesday night worship is very casual, 30 minutes long, and entirely student-led. We sit on the floor in the chancel (the "stage" area of the sanctuary) and sing, hear a student homily, and share communion with each other.
Peer Minister Office Hours
Meet with a college peer minister on campus to give you support in faith and life. See our calendar for times and meeting places.
Adopt-A-Student program
You can be “adopted” by a member or family of Mt. Carmel’s congregation who will mentor you in faith and give you a “home away from home”. Contact Pam Wood to be adopted: pamellajw@aol.com.
One-on-Ones
Sign up to meet with a new LCM student one-on-one every other week to get to know them and support one another in faith. Contact Carli Orsi to be part of one-on-ones: orsicarli@gmail.com.
