About Us

Faith is a journey that everyone experiences differently. In college, your faith might be challenged by classes you take or experiences you encounter. Perhaps you’ve never experienced faith before, or maybe you’re aching for a deeper relationship with God through Jesus.

We're About Being Open

LCM is a place where you will find you can come with questions and you’ll find many people to journey with you toward answers. In fact, questions are welcomed and encouraged here, since that’s how faith grows most deeply.

We're Always Here

We’re an active and intimate group centered in the congregation of Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church. We have our own LCM House next to the church with wireless internet that students can access 24 hours a day for small group meetings, doing homework, or prayer and meditation.

We Worship Together

On Sundays we worship with the whole congregation (8:45am Traditional Worship and 11:00am Contemporary Worship). Tuesday night we meet at the LCM House at 7pm for a free college dinner, 8pm for a college Bible study, and at 9:30pm college worship in the sanctuary.

We Grow Together

LCM at Mt. Carmel is a gathering of young people seeking to learn about the Christian faith and go out to the world to be God’s hands and feet in service.

Our Mission

To Gather, Grow, and Go for God

Our Vision for 2009-2010

As a ministry of Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, Lutheran Campus Ministry:

• Focuses on community service and justice issues
• Meets the needs of both newer and older students
• Integrates LCM and the rest of the Mt. Carmel congregation
• Adopts an attitude of curiosity and open-mindedness toward expansion
• Welcomes all as Christ would, including and engaging all in ministry

Our Church Body

We are part of the 5 million-member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  Click here to find out more about what our national church believes.

Our Partnerships

We are also part of Lutheran Student Movement, a national organization that links Lutheran college students all over the country. We participate in a fall and spring retreat for our region.
